El segundo álbum de los chilenos IRON SPELL, “From the Grave”, llegará el 25 de julio en formato CD y vinilo a través de Dying Victims Productions.
Originarios de Santiago, Chile, IRON SPELL fue fundado a mediados de 2013 por el baterista y compositor Felipe Carvajal (Steelhammer). Inicialmente, la idea era crear un álbum de Heavy Metal clásico con amigos, mezclando el misticismo y la oscuridad de KING DIAMOND y BLACK SABBATH con el hard rock de los 70 y 80, como KISS, ALICE COOPER, TWISTED SISTER y WA.S.P. La falta de compromiso e implicación de algunos músicos retrasó considerablemente el proceso, y lo que iba a ser un álbum completo terminó siendo un EP de cuatro canciones, “Heavy Metal Witchcraft”. Poco después, la banda subió este EP a redes sociales y la noticia cobró cobertura: en pocas semanas, se lanzó en Europa en vinilo de 7″, casete y CD por tres sellos diferentes, siendo DVP el primero en creer en IRON SPELL y lanzar esta grabación en casete.
IRON SPELL debutó en vivo en marzo de 2014 y se mantuvo activo a pesar de algunos cambios en la formación, siempre fiel a su estilo y sonido. En 2016, llegaría su álbum debut, “Electric Conjuring”, incluyendo a Richie Faulkner de JUDAS PRIEST en un tema. En 2021, IRON SPELL lanzó el EP “Live Magic after Midnight” y, posteriormente, el recopilatorio argentino “Witching Hour – The Best of Iron Spell”. Sin embargo, lo mejor estaba por llegar para IRON SPELL, y ahora despuntan con “From The Grave”.
